Accounting Bookkeeper

The Accounting Bookkeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records for our small businesses of roughly 25 employees. As an individual contributor, this position involves managing a variety of accounting tasks using QuickBooks and other tools to ensure timely and precise financial data. The bookkeeper supports financial reporting, audit preparation, and payroll functions while interacting occasionally with external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately
• Receive and enter all AP invoices
• Prepare and mail all AP payments
• Prepare and submit all AR invoices to customers
• Receive and reconcile all AR payments
• Reconcile accounts and bank statements regularly
• Process invoices and track expenses
• Assist with payroll processing and related activities
• Prepare financial reports and summaries
• Review bank statements for discrepancies
• Support audit preparation efforts
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
• Enter data efficiently into accounting software

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency with QuickBooks
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in financial reporting
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of tax regulations
• Good communication skills
