About the Position

Baja Ready Mix Concrete is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk III to join our accounting team. This senior-level clerical accounting position is responsible for handling complex accounting support duties, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling accounts, supporting billing and collections, and helping ensure accounting processes are completed accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting a fast-paced concrete, trucking, or construction-related business environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

· Enter, verify, and reconcile invoices, payments, receipts, credits, and adjustments

· Match purchase orders, vendor invoices, delivery tickets, statements, and supporting documents

· Assist with customer billing, payment posting, collections follow-up, and account research

· Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, daily deposits, and transaction reports

· Review accounting records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies

· Maintain organized financial files, reports, tickets, receipts, and accounting documents

· Prepare routine accounting reports and assist with month-end closing tasks

· Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, drivers, dispatch, sales, and management

· Support payroll, fuel, trucking, or job-costing records as needed

· Assist with training or guiding junior accounting clerks when necessary

· Help improve accounting processes, filing systems, and internal procedures

· Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred

· Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or senior clerical accounting experience preferred

· Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting procedures

· Experience with accounting software, QuickBooks, ERP systems, or similar platforms preferred

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft softwares, and general office software

· Strong data entry accuracy and ability to review work for errors

· Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

· Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

· Experience in concrete, construction, trucking, aggregate, or materials industry is a plus
