Glendive Public Schools is seeking dependable and student-focused Special Education Paraprofessionals to support teachers and students in the classroom. This role includes supporting students with a range of academic and behavioral needs, including providing guidance, structure, and support during challenging moments. What You'll Do:

  • Assist teachers with preparing and delivering instructional materials and activities

  • Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher direction

  • support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs under the direction of certified staff"

  • Assist with behavior support strategies and help maintain a safe, structured environment

  • Distribute and organize classroom supplies and instructional resources

  • Maintain records and assist with grading and reports

  • Help keep the classroom neat, organized, and engaging

  • Monitor and report any student safety concerns

What We're Looking For:

  • Associate degree, 2+ years of college, or passing a District-approved assessment

  • Ability to work with students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs

  • Basic record-keeping and organizational skills

  • Understanding of instructional support practices

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team

  • Patient, positive, and supportive attitude with students with disabilities

  • Ability to manage time, multitask, and handle stressful situations

  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
