Glendive Public Schools is seeking dependable and student-focused Special Education Paraprofessionals to support teachers and students in the classroom. This role includes supporting students with a range of academic and behavioral needs, including providing guidance, structure, and support during challenging moments. What You'll Do:
Assist teachers with preparing and delivering instructional materials and activities
Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher direction
support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs under the direction of certified staff"
Assist with behavior support strategies and help maintain a safe, structured environment
Distribute and organize classroom supplies and instructional resources
Maintain records and assist with grading and reports
Help keep the classroom neat, organized, and engaging
Monitor and report any student safety concerns
What We're Looking For:
Associate degree, 2+ years of college, or passing a District-approved assessment
Ability to work with students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
Basic record-keeping and organizational skills
Understanding of instructional support practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Patient, positive, and supportive attitude with students with disabilities
Ability to manage time, multitask, and handle stressful situations
Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
