DESCRIPTION: The Rice Lake Area School District is seeking a positive, knowledgeable, and student-focused Elementary Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience working in inclusive settings with students with diverse educational and emotional needs. A well-qualified candidate will hold a current cross-categorical special education license issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, have a passion for supporting, educating, and advocating for students with disabilities and be able to maintain a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as be able to efficiently develop IEPs, implement research or evidence-based instruction, be familiar with functional behavioral assessments, develop effective behavior intervention plans, and make data informed decisions.
