Position Purpose
Fort Benton Elementary is looking for an indivdiual to support students meeting their IEP goals in the Special Educaiton room. A paraprofessional is responsible for providing superivision of students, assisting with instruction of reading, mathmatics, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Performance Responsibilities

• Support students in meeting their academic goals
• The ability to teach scheduled classes, individual students, or small groups in the absence of the regularly scheduled teacher.
• Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Certificate (GED).
• Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to follow both oral and written directions and instructions and communicate in both oral and written means.
• Effectively present information and respond to students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Maintain confidentiality of student matters.
• Effectively manage time and responsibilities.
• Professional appearance, attitude and demeanor.
