Job Description:
Job Title: Community Association Attorney
We are an executive search firm retained by an established and well-respected boutique law firm based in Palm Beach County to assist in their search for a talented Community Association Attorney. This firm has built a strong reputation for providing top-tier legal services in the areas of real estate and community association law, and they are seeking a skilled attorney to join their team. This is an on-site position only.
Qualifications:
  • Active license to practice law in Florida, in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community association law
  • Strong expertise in interpreting governing documents, providing governance advice, preparing amendments, and addressing fair housing issues
  • In-depth knowledge of community association law, real estate law, and related fields
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines effectively
  • Experience in delivering specialized training to board directors, committees, and managers
Responsibilities:
  • Handle complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, purchases, financing, and leasing
  • Assist in forming, registering, governing, and ensuring compliance for residential, commercial, and mixed-use condominium associations
  • Provide expert guidance on community association law, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and successful project completions
  • Represent developers, lenders, landlords, and community associations in a variety of legal matters
  • Review, analyze, negotiate, and draft legal documents, including agreements, deeds, loan documents, leases, declarations, and covenants
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of transactions, ensuring timely closings and project milestones are met
  • Provide guidance on interpreting governing documents, governance issues, and fair housing compliance
  • Conduct training sessions for boards of directors, committees, and community managers
  • Participate actively in community association and industry organizations
  • Contribute articles to industry publications and engage in relevant chapter events
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active Florida Bar license
  • Strong knowledge and experience in community association law and real estate
