DescriptionSummary:
The Urban Expanded Food and Nutrition Education (UEFNEP) Program Educator is responsible for delivering the program to individuals and families in urban communities. Under the supervision of the UEFNEP Program Coordinator and Project Manager at Alabama A&M, the Program Educator will provide outreach, training, and support to ensure participants receive the program resources. This is a grant-funded position to meet everyone's health and nutrition needs.
Examples of DutiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Required to participate in organized and continuous training.
- Recruit participants and schedule training programs with clients and community partners.
- Deliver approved curriculum content in urban areas.
- Document and report program outcomes and impacts.
- Follow program guidelines outlined in the Extension-funded grant and use approved nutrition content.
- Maintain records, collect data and gather evaluation feedback for reports.
- Implement office management procedures and public relations effort to promote programs effectively.
Typical QualificationsMinimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to organize and coordinate nutrition activities and maintain accurate records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Community outreach experience.
- Basic knowledge and skills in computer operations.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel within the designated area (mileage reimbursement available).
