ELL Long-Term Substitute
Description
The Iowa-Grant School District is seeking a qualified candidate eligible for a long-term substitute license to provide K-12 ESL instruction and, if able and willing, Spanish-English interpretation services. The successful candidate will deliver ESL support using a variety of service models, collaborate with teachers and administration, align instruction to student needs, and engage families in the learning process.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of second language acquisition and best practices for English learners, as well as familiarity with WIDA standards and assessments, or a willingness to be trained. Fluency in both Spanish and English is ideal but not required.
The candidate will also teach an 8th-grade Spanish I class as part of the teaching assignment.
The position will start on or before September 21, 2026, and will end approximately November 24, 2026.
