Litigation Associate Attorney – Plaintiff Personal Injury
Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney – Plaintiff Personal Injury to join a growing and highly successful plaintiff-side litigation team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced trial attorney who is passionate about advocating for injured clients and handling high-value personal injury matters from inception through resolution.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury litigation, courtroom experience, and a proven ability to manage cases while delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage plaintiff-side personal injury cases throughout the litigation process
- Conduct case investigations to establish liability and evaluate damages
- Draft, file, and argue motions, oppositions, discovery motions, and other litigation-related pleadings
- Develop and execute litigation strategy in collaboration with attorneys and support staff
- Maintain regular communication with clients and guide them through each phase of litigation
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs and memoranda
- Handle complex and high-value injury matters through settlement or trial
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal professionals to achieve favorable outcomes
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with the applicable State Bar
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation experience
- Strong trial background with at least 3 civil jury trials to verdict
- Extensive knowledge of personal injury laws, procedures, and litigation strategy
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Proven ability to independently manage cases and meet litigation deadlines
- Strong organizational, communication, and client relationship skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience handling catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex personal injury matters
- Strong courtroom presence and trial advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple active litigation files simultaneously
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $115,000 – $185,000 annually, depending on experience
