Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries (MPCM) is currently seeking a Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team on site to support the financial operations of the church. This part-time (approx. 16 hours a week) role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a heart for service, and experience in basic accounting practices. The position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the church’s mission through responsible stewardship.
Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain accurate financial data for accounting records
- Assist with payroll recordkeeping
- Assist with annual financial reviews and audit preparation
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and church policies
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and other administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Familiarity with accounting software (Quickbooks)
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to protect confidential information with integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Deadline and detail-oriented
