SMC Primary Care in Deland, Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. Come grow with us.

Responsibilities:

• Immediate opening. Busy Family Practice looking for a Medical Assistant to preform direct patient care including vital signs, procedures and treatments under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physician and Practice Manager. Job responsibilities include but or not limited to: utilizing EMR, data entry of patient information, assisting in all medical procedures, triaging phone calls, phlebotomy and injections. This position requires the medical assistant to demonstrates a professional and caring image at all times while maintaining patient confidentiality. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  
  
• QUALIFICATIONS:

• BIlingual Engish/Spanish
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited school.
• Current certification or the ability to obtain certification through AAMA, NAHP or RMA with ARMA or AMT within one year of employment required.
• Current Professional Rescuer CPR Certification.
• Ability to remain professional when working under stressful situations.
• Pass a Level 2 Background Screening.
