Wholesale Sales Representative – Hemp Products
NFT is seeking a motivated Wholesale Sales Representative to help grow our wholesale customer base and support continued sales growth across our hemp product line. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with outbound sales, lead generation, customer follow-up, and building long-term wholesale relationships.
The Wholesale Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new retail and wholesale opportunities, contacting prospective customers, educating buyers on NFT client’s products, managing follow-up activity, and helping convert leads into active purchasing accounts.
This is a sales-focused role with an hourly base wage plus commission opportunity based on qualified collected net revenue.
Responsibilities
Generate new wholesale leads through outbound calls, email outreach, online research, referrals, and industry contacts.
Contact prospective retailers, smoke shops, convenience stores, wellness retailers, CBD stores, distributors, and other qualified wholesale buyers.
Make consistent outbound calls and follow-up contacts to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Educate prospective customers on NFT client’s products, wholesale pricing, ordering process, and account requirements.
Follow up with new leads, existing customers, inactive accounts, and reorder opportunities.
Track all customer activity, calls, emails, notes, quotes, samples, and follow-ups in the company’s CRM or sales tracking system.
Maintain accurate customer records and update lead status, next steps, and expected close dates.
Meet monthly sales activity expectations, including calls, outreach, lead generation, and qualified sales conversations.
Work with management to ensure customer pricing, discounts, promotions, and account approvals follow company policy.
Support direct-to-consumer sales initiatives and customer service needs as requested.
Represent the company professionally and follow all internal compliance standards related to hemp product sales and customer communication.
Activity Expectations
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain consistent sales activity, including:
High-volume outbound calls and follow-ups
Regular email outreach to prospective and existing customers
Research and development of new qualified leads
Daily CRM or sales tracker updates
Consistent follow-up on open opportunities, samples, and quotes
Monthly progress toward sales goals and pipeline development targets
Qualifications
Prior sales, inside sales, wholesale, account management, or business development experience preferred.
Experience in hemp, cannabis, CBD, CPG, wellness, smoke shop, convenience store, retail distribution, or related industries is a plus.
Comfortable making outbound calls and conducting regular customer follow-up.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain products, pricing, and ordering requirements clearly and professionally.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain accurate customer records.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working toward monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Able to work independently while communicating regularly with management.
Must be professional, reliable, and willing to follow company policies and compliance standards.
Compensation
Hourly base wage: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
This position is also eligible for commission based on qualified collected net revenue, subject to the company’s commission plan.
Commission is based on collected net revenue, not simply booked or invoiced sales. Collected net revenue generally means customer payments actually received by the company, less discounts, refunds, returns, credits, chargebacks, taxes, shipping, pass-through fees, cancelled orders, unpaid invoices, and other adjustments.
A quarterly performance bonus may also be available if quarterly revenue goals are achieved and the employee remains active and in good standing on the bonus payout date.
