As a Medical Front Desk Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing clerical, administrative and phone support for our Podiatry practice. We are looking for a self-starter with a positive team player, excellent customer service skills, insurance verification and positive attitude. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Answering multiple phone lines, directed calls, managed and maintained the office voicemails
  • Data entry of new patient demographic information, past medical history, etc. into EHR
  • Check in and check out the patient through the office EMR system (ModMed)
  • Strong knowledge of insurance eligibility, authorizations, copays, co-insurance, deductibles and self-pay pricing
  • Have knowledge of the insurances accepted in the office
  • Collect copays and deductibles at the time of service and balance at the end of the visit
  • Call patient to schedule appts when needed for follow up
  • Scan, update information into patient information
  • Assist doctor and back office as needed
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing
Skills:
  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Strong experience in insurance authorizations, benefits and eligibility
  • Solid xhyhwjd written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize task
Experience:
  • Medical Receptionist Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical Terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Podiatry: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Knowledge ModMedn EMR is a plus
Work Location: One location (Not Remote)
