Location: Richmond, VA (On-Site)
Clearance Requirements: None
Shift: 1st Shift – Mon to Fri - 7am to 3:30pm
Employment: 12 month contract w/ extensions for multiple years
Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience
Position Description:
Join a leading energy provider as an Electrical Distribution Operator in Richmond, VA. This role involves managing service restoration and distribution switching activities within electrical distribution systems, ensuring grid integrity, safety, and reliable service to millions of customers. You will develop expertise in operations and switching practices through comprehensive training and certification. The position offers a dynamic, shift-oriented schedule requiring flexibility for 24/7 rotation, overtime, and storm callouts. Top Requirements:

• Electrical distribution or utility experience, with a solid understanding of electric distribution systems
• Ability to make decisions confidently under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Strong multitasking, prioritization skills, and analytical/problem-solving abilities using data from multiple sources

• Availability for flexible 24/7 rotating shifts, overtime, and storm response
• Proven experience in utility operations, electrical/mechanical/engineering/operations industries
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle complex tasks independently
