Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate to join a highly regarded national law firm in its Miami office. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level associate to work within a dynamic Business & Commercial Litigation group. The ideal candidate will have between 2–6 years of litigation experience and be eager to contribute to a fast-paced and collaborative team handling a broad range of high-stakes matters.
Key Responsibilities- Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution, including legal research, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and client correspondence
- Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and court appearances
- Participate in client meetings and communicate updates and strategy clearly and professionally
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and outside experts to execute litigation strategy
- Review and organize evidence, case files, and exhibits
- Stay current on relevant changes in law and precedent
- Engage in pro bono matters to promote access to justice
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in Florida
- 2–6 years of litigation experience at a reputable law firm
- Federal or state court clerkship is a strong plus
- Excellent academic credentials, legal research, analytical, and writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and professional judgment
- Collaborative team player with initiative and leadership capability
- Salary range: $235,000 – $330,000, depending on class year and experience
