Litigation Associate Opportunity

Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate to join a highly regarded national law firm in its Miami office. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level associate to work within a dynamic Business & Commercial Litigation group. The ideal candidate will have between 2–6 years of litigation experience and be eager to contribute to a fast-paced and collaborative team handling a broad range of high-stakes matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution, including legal research, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and client correspondence
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and court appearances
  • Participate in client meetings and communicate updates and strategy clearly and professionally
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and outside experts to execute litigation strategy
  • Review and organize evidence, case files, and exhibits
  • Stay current on relevant changes in law and precedent
  • Engage in pro bono matters to promote access to justice
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in Florida
  • 2–6 years of litigation experience at a reputable law firm
  • Federal or state court clerkship is a strong plus
  • Excellent academic credentials, legal research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and professional judgment
  • Collaborative team player with initiative and leadership capability
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $235,000 – $330,000, depending on class year and experience
