Position Description

Our company, specialized in the production and installation of aluminum and PVC doors, windows, and facade systems, is looking to hire an Architectural Technician focused on project breakdown, technical drawing (shop drawings) preparation, and coordination between design, production, and installation. The position is key for the accurate technical realization of projects and requires a practical, organized, and solution-oriented profile.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown of architectural projects (DWG, PDF, BIM)
• Breakdown of facades, windows, glazing, and other elements from the overall project
• Identification of types, dimensions, and systems used
• Checking the project's compliance with technical conditions and production possibilities

Technical Drawing Preparation (Shop Drawings)

• Preparation of technical drawings for production (2D/3D)
• Drawing of facade plans, cuts, and details
• Connecting details (anchors, profiles, glazing, accessories)
• Updating drawings according to client, architect, or engineer comments

Coordination with Clients and Designers

• Communication and cooperation with project architects
• Coordination with structural and mechanical engineers
• Participation in technical meetings
• Explanation and presentation of proposed technical solutions

Material and System Selection

• Selection of aluminum, PVC systems, and facades
• Selection of glazing types (double, triple, low-e, laminated)
• Suggestions for technical, aesthetic, and economic optimization
• Adaptation of solutions to the project budget

Support for Offer and Costing

• Calculation of technical surfaces and elements
• Quantitative breakdown for the estimate
• Cooperation with the cost and offer department
• Identification of the most economical solutions without compromising quality

Production Support

• Preparation of technical documentation for the production department
• Technical explanations for technicians and workers
• Control of production compliance with technical drawings

Supervision During Installation (if required)

• Control of on-site work implementation
• Resolution of on-site technical problems
• Adaptation of drawings according to the real situation

Final Documentation

1. Preparation of As-Built drawings
2. Technical files for the client
3. Maintenance manuals (if required)

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Degree in Architecture (or Building Engineering – advantage)
• Experience in doors/windows, facades, or aluminum/PVC systems projects
• Very good knowledge of AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM (advantage)
• Basic knowledge of Excel
• Good organizational and communication skills
