Recruiting Manager | Accounting/Finance Focused | Executive Search & Interim Solutions

Our client is a growing Technology and Consumer Products organization looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team.

Office Location: Near Santa Monica, CA

Compensation: $110,000 - $150,000 base salary + bonus

Reports to: VP of Accounting

Responsibilities:

General Accounting & Close Support

• Handle various accounting tasks related to financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Assist with reconciliations and maintain accurate records across accounts.
• Work with others to ensure reporting is timely and aligned with expectations.
• Support audit and compliance efforts as needed.

Operational Finance & Analysis

• Contribute to the accounting and tracking of revenue, expenses, and company assets.
• Help manage financial flows related to inventory and vendor relationships.
• Prepare schedules and reports to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in periodic reviews of financial performance and metrics.

Process & Controls

• Look for ways to improve workflows and streamline financial operations.
• Support efforts to strengthen internal controls and documentation.
• Collaborate across departments to improve financial visibility and accountability.

Tax & Compliance Support

• Assist with tax filings and compliance efforts, including working with external advisors.
• Ensure company practices align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a startup or inventory-focused environment.
• CPA certification is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, inventory valuation, and internal financial controls.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with accounting tools, systems, and best practices.
