Public Finance Associate Attorney - Atlanta

Direct Counsel is seeking a Public Finance Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm in Atlanta. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior associate to join a sophisticated financial services and specialty finance practice working on complex public finance and economic development transactions.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of transactional experience in public finance, real estate, financial services, or corporate law, along with an interest in tax-exempt bond finance, public-private partnerships, and economic development incentives. Candidates should be eager to take on meaningful responsibility in a collaborative and fast-paced transactional environment.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• 1–3 years of transactional legal experience
• Experience in public finance, real estate, financial services, or corporate transactional matters
• Interest in traditional tax-exempt bond finance, public-private partnerships, and economic development incentives
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage transaction workflows and coordinate with multiple deal parties
• Strong academic credentials
• Georgia Bar admission or pending admission

Responsibilities will include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan and financing documents
• Managing deal processes and transaction execution
• Coordinating with clients, counsel, and other deal participants
• Assisting senior attorneys with client development and relationship management efforts
• Supporting sophisticated public finance and specialty finance transactions from inception through closing
