About the Role:

The Automotive Finance Manager plays a critical role in bridging the gap between automotive sales and financial services, ensuring customers receive optimal financing solutions tailored to their needs. This position is responsible for managing the entire finance process, from credit application to loan approval and contract finalization, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The manager collaborates closely with sales teams, lenders, and customers to facilitate smooth and efficient transactions that maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the role involves analyzing financial data and market trends to recommend competitive financing products and strategies. Ultimately, the Automotive Finance Manager drives revenue growth by delivering exceptional financial services and fostering long-term customer relationships within the automotive industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive finance or a similar financial services role.
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, loan underwriting, and automotive financing products.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing automotive finance and consumer credit.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification such as Certified Finance Professional (CFP) or similar credentials.
  • Proficiency with Reynolds & Reynolds (DMS), and eLEAD (CRM).

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate customer credit applications and determine appropriate financing options based on creditworthiness and dealership policies.
  • Negotiate loan terms and conditions with financial institutions to secure favorable rates and terms for customers and the dealership.
  • Prepare and review all necessary documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to integrate financing options seamlessly into the vehicle sales process, enhancing customer experience.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive finance products, market trends, and regulatory changes to advise customers and management effectively.
  • Manage relationships with banks, credit unions, and other lending institutions to expand financing options and improve approval rates.
  • Monitor and report on finance department performance metrics, including loan volume, approval rates, and profitability.
  • Train and mentor finance department staff to uphold high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
