The ideal candidate will bring strong experience supporting manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or warehouse operations and possess the ability to influence leaders, conduct workplace investigations, navigate complex employee relations matters, and foster a positive workplace culture. This is a highly visible onsite role requiring strong business partnership skills and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with plant and operational leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead employee relations activities, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
  • Provide guidance on employment law, policy interpretation, regulatory compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Support labor relations initiatives and maintain positive employee-management relationships.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, talent development, succession planning, and workforce planning efforts.
  • Coach managers and supervisors on performance management, leadership effectiveness, and employee development.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support hiring strategies and workforce needs.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence on compensation, benefits, talent management, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce metrics and HR data to support business decisions and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support change management initiatives and organizational transformation projects.
  • Maintain strong visibility across operations and build relationships at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, production, or warehouse environment.
  • Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting unionized workforces and labor relations strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and provide strategic HR consultation.
  • Experience with performance management, talent management, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and mediation skills.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms such as Workday, UKG, Kronos, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and workforce analytics/reporting tools.
  • Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment and support a 24/7 operation when needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experienced HR Business Partner supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Comfortable handling complex employee relations issues and workplace investigations.
  • Strong labor relations and union workforce experience.
  • Skilled at coaching plant leaders, supervisors, and frontline managers.
  • Hands-on, visible HR leader who enjoys being on the plant floor rather than solely in a corporate office setting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and conflict resolution.
  • Experienced with Workday, UKG, Kronos, and HR analytics.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume production environments.
  • Effective relationship builder with employees, management, and business leaders at all levels.
