This position is with the Office of Special Disability Programs. The Rehabilitation Associate I works under the supervision of the Social Services Program Coordinator to assist with the provision of service planning, authorizing for services, processing payroll, and coordinating with community resources. This also includes the maintenance of confidential case files, office management, typing, and composing correspondence relative to the individuals being served.
— Manages office, including, but not limited to:
The Rehabilitation Associate I assists with casework, including, but not limited to: completing itineraries, calling, scheduling, and sending appointment letters for home visits with individuals on the programs; maintaining confidential case files, both hard copy and electronically; completing appropriate intakes/referrals in the absence of the Social Services Program Coordinator; preparing required Medicaid and MDRS forms, etc. Conducts fingerprinting of potential Personal Care Attendants (PCA's). Compiles, verifies, and processes PCA payroll. Authorizes for services timely.
What you'll need to be successful:
Good oral and written communication skills are required to be proficient in this position. Proficient computer skills are a must. Must be able to prioritize and work to plan and provide timely services to those individuals being served. Looking for individuals who can multitask, are very detail-oriented, analytical, and able to solve problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 0-2 years of related experience.
Agency Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma, and two (2) years of experience.
