About the Opportunity
The Turner Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) specializing in HVAC and Plumbing Systems to join our growing team in Concord, New Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys leading projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering innovative building system solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept through final design and construction.
- Design and troubleshoot HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building types.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, scope, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and review mechanical construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
- Develop project scopes, proposals, and fee estimates.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and office quality procedures.
- Conduct construction administration activities, including review of RFIs, submittals, and field documentation.
- Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders.
- Mentor junior staff and support technical development within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 8 years of experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Proven experience leading engineering design projects.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and document coordination.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and consultant teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within an Architectural & Engineering (A&E) consulting environment.
- Construction administration and field experience.
- Client-facing project management experience.
