Job Description
We are hiring an Automation Technician to join a stable manufacturing team on 2nd shift in Elgin, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys troubleshooting automated equipment and working in a fast-paced production environment.

Automation Technician Job Duties:
  • Troubleshoot and repair automated production machinery
  • Diagnose and replace electrical and electronic components, including PLCs and sensors
  • Install and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, and control systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on motors and electrical equipment
  • Support plant safety and quality objectives

Schedule
  • Monday–Friday
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:10 PM
  • Overtime as needed on Saturdays and occasional Sundays
  • Training on 1st shift before moving to 2nd shift
    • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:10 PM

Pay
  • $30.00 per hour or higher, based on experience

Automation Technician Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Electrical or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic
  • Experience working with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for automated equipment
