Experienced Service Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Automotive Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, industry certifications (such as ASE), and experience using advanced diagnostic tools. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications:
ASE Certification (preferred: A1–A8 or Master Technician)
State inspection/license certification (if applicable)
Experience:
3–7+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience
Experience with both mechanical and electrical diagnostics
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with diagnostic scanners and repair software
Strong understanding of automotive systems (engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, electrical)
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Technical/trade school certification in automotive technology preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Ability to stand, bend, and work for extended periods
Comfortable working in a shop environment with noise and varying temperatures
Work Environment
Automotive repair facility or dealership setting
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Exposure to automotive chemicals, tools, and equipment
