Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits.
• Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in Dentrix, complying with HIPAA regulations.
• Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety.

Skills

• Proficiency with Dentrix preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization processes, and aseptic techniques aligned with OSHA guidelines.
