Marketing and Outreach Specialist
Job Description
CYEGA is seeking a professional to lead marketing and outreach efforts. The Marketing Specialist provides community outreach and disseminates information regarding the services offered by CYE to potential referral sources and medical providers. The Marketing Specialist establishes and maintains relationships with individuals and organizations and utilizes correspondence, acting as the subject matter expert, to facilitate enduring relationships with the referral sources. This position involves grassroot outreach efforts and canvasing and meeting people face-to-face in the communities in which they live.
Compensation
- Compensation will be made based on the above requirements of submitted business cards and follow-up emails to document outreach efforts, scheduled lunch and learns, scheduled events
- Base pay of $1,500.00 will be made on the 10th and the 25th of each month for a total of $3,000.00
- Additional compensation of $100.00 will be made for each client who completes an initial assessment and completes first targeted case management appointment or therapy appointment. Payment will be process after claims for assessment services are paid by the clients’ insurance payors.
- $120.00 monthly gas stipend will be added to each payment for a total of $150.00 per month.
Performance and productivity will be evaluated based on the above responsibilities and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Community Engagement & Relationship Building:
- Carry out outreach efforts going door-to-door disseminating information in various communities throughout the Houston Metro area with the permission of property or facility owners/directors. 16 hours per week will be required for door-to-door outreach efforts.
- Responsible for visiting 25 providers per week including any scheduled lunch and learns. (Providers will be a mixture of hospitals, pediatrician offices, urgent care offices, OBGYNs, etc.)
- For provider visits, it is required to submit a picture of a business card for the office and office contact if available and it is required to send a follow-up email to the email contact.
- Proactively identify, research, and establish contact with potential referral sources, including pediatric physicians, hospitals, schools, community organizations, and other healthcare providers within the designated service area.
- Schedule and conduct regular in-person meetings, presentations, and informational sessions with community providers to educate them about our agency's services, specialties, and referral process.
- Develop and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with key contacts at referral organizations through consistent communication, follow-up, and appreciation efforts.
- Represent the agency at community events, health fairs, and professional conferences to promote our services and network with potential partners.
- Stay informed about community mental health needs and trends to identify new outreach opportunities
- Referral Management & Client Facilitation:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new client referrals originating from community providers.
- Monitor and track the status of referred clients from initial contact through the completion of their initial assessment.
- Facilitate seamless communication between referring providers, clients, and our intake team to ensure a smooth transition into services.
- Address any questions or concerns from referring providers or clients regarding the intake process.
- Collaborate closely with the intake and administrative teams to ensure accurate client information and timely scheduling of assessments.
- Marketing & Administrative Support:
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials (e.g., brochures, flyers, presentations) tailored for community providers.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of community contacts and outreach activities.
- Provide regular reports on outreach efforts, referral volume, and conversion rates.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning for agency growth.
Qualifications:
- Preferably at least 2 years of experience in marketing, outreach, business development, or a related client-facing role, preferably within a healthcare or mental health setting.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Empathetic and compassionate approach to working with individuals seeking mental health support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for community visits.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of mental health terminology, services, and the local healthcare landscape.
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
