We are currently searching for an experienced Medical Technologist for a leading Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) in Miami, FL.

This position is on-site, part-time (2.5 days per week), and a 3-4 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performed laboratory activities supporting early-phase and clinical research studies, including protocol-driven specimen handling and processing.
  • Operated, monitored, and maintained specialized laboratory instrumentation used for clinical trial sample analysis and processing.
  • Received training and demonstrated proficiency on sponsor-provided laboratory equipment, including Bayer diagnostic and sample processing systems.
  • Conducted pharmacokinetic (PK) sample processing activities according to study-specific procedures and timelines.
  • Performed quality control (QC) procedures to ensure sample integrity, equipment performance, and compliance with laboratory standards.
  • Followed protocol-specific requirements for sample preparation, storage, documentation, and shipment.
  • Collaborated with research, laboratory, and clinical operations teams to support efficient study execution and data quality.
  • Maintained accurate laboratory records and ensured adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Assisted with troubleshooting laboratory equipment and workflow issues to support uninterrupted study operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience working in a clinical research laboratory environment; Phase I clinical trial experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of PK sample processing, laboratory workflows, and quality control procedures.
  • Proficiency in operating specialized laboratory instrumentation and adapting to new technologies.
  • Knowledge of clinical research regulations, protocol compliance, and laboratory documentation practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced research setting.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary research teams.
