<p>Mechanical Assembly</p><p>1st shift</p><p>Groveland MA</p><p> </p><p>Assembly positions with a great Company in Groveland</p><p>Great opportunity for recent Whittier Tech graduates or individuals with some manufacturing experience.</p><p>$20 hr. to start.</p><p>This Position is union eligible after 90 days,</p><p>Full time</p><p> </p><p> Assembler<br>Job Description</p><p>Our client is currently seeking an entry level assembler and general laborer to work with the assembly team to ensure our products are designed, built and delivered right every time.<br>The ideal candidate will be a team player and have mechanical aptitude. Job duties will include, but not limited to; use of various hand tools, fastening parts and assemblies, examining connections for correct fit and gathering of needed parts and materials. Opportunities for cross training in other departments.</p><p> </p><p>Works under immediate supervision. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.</p><p> </p><p>Position Type: Full-time position – 8 hour shift, Monday through Friday<br>Work Location: One location, Georgetown, MA</p><p>Essential Functions: <br>• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. <br>• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. <br>• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.</p><p>Physical Demands:<br>• Ability to work in a fast paced, large non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment.<br>• Ability to lift 10-30 lbs. with the assistance of another employee or using a cart<br>• Standing a minimum of 8 hours a day<br>• Sitting a minimum of 0 hours a day<br>• Walking a minimum of 8 hours a day<br>• Pulling/Pushing a minimum of 4 hours a day<br>• Ability to pass physical exam, criminal background and drug screening</p><p>Required Experience:<br>• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.<br>• Punctual<br>• Able to work with minimum supervision<br>• Excellent organizational skills<br>• Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment<br>• Sense of urgency<br>• Positive Attitude<br>• Mathematical aptitude<br>• Mechanical aptitude</p><p>Educational Requirements:<br>• High school diploma or GED</p><p>Other Duties:<br>• Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
