Accounting Staff Position

The Accounting Staff is an integral member of the Finance team and will eventually grow into a significant contributor to take responsibility for maintaining the financial records of our subsidiary. The successful candidate will use critical thinking and communication skills to apply accounting theory and knowledge in specific areas such as AR, AP, general ledger, and fixed assets. The successful candidate will also provide data entry services and overall administrative support.

  • Process accounts payable, review vendor invoicing and ensure timely payment to vendors and resolve any issue.
  • Assist with month-end journal entries (accrual basis), account reconciliation and month-end closing, general ledger accounts and payroll entries.
  • Assist with financial statements and various reports during monthly/quarterly/annual reporting cycles.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual audit schedules for external CPA review
  • Assist with year-end preparation and coordinate the Tax Returns
  • Secure financial information by completing database backup; keeping information confidential
  • Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
  • Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or relevant experience through work history
  • At least 6 months of relevant AP experience, including experience gained through internships
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and the Sage software highly preferred
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
  • Highly trainable
  • Proficiency in Mandarin a plus
