Position Overview

At Advanced Health Associates We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated in-house part time Attorney specializing in Medical and Business Litigation to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling litigation matters, including medical malpractice, healthcare-related disputes, commercial litigation, business disputes, contract matters, employment, and regulatory compliance issues.

The successful candidate must be licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and possess exceptional analytical, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of litigation from case inception through trial and appeal.
  • Represent clients in healthcare, business, and commercial litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Take and defend depositions, attend mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal guidance to clients.
  • Create, Review and analyze contracts, business agreements, and other relevant documentation.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolutions in the best interests of clients.
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Stay informed regarding changes in Florida laws, regulations, and legal precedents.

Qualifications

Required

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar (Required).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in healthcare, business litigation, or commercial litigation.
  • Strong courtroom, deposition, and mediation experience.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and client relationship management abilities.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance matters.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience representing healthcare providers, medical practices, hospitals, or healthcare organizations.
  • Trial experience with a proven record of successful case outcomes.
  • Experience handling high-value and complex commercial disputes.
