Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and redesign financial workflows within a legacy Child Support system
- Work independently to identify system inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with functional managers and business analysts to design intuitive financial modules
- Design user-friendly enhancements such as guided navigation, contextual help, and tooltips
- Support financial processes including order entry, adjustments, receipts, distributions, disbursements, recoupments, and reconciliation
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather business requirements and identify pain points
- Translate business needs into clear functional and system requirements
- Develop testing strategies, test cases, and support UAT activities
- Participate in triage meetings to evaluate defects, enhancements, and priorities
- Provide clear documentation and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- 5+ years working with Child Support or related government systems
- 5+ years supporting financial operations, including:
- Receipts
- Distributions
- Disbursements
- Recoupments
- Reconciliation
- 5+ years designing and optimizing system workflows
- 5+ years conducting stakeholder interviews
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation
- Bachelor's degree (Finance, Information Technology, or related field preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft TFS and Microsoft Test Manager
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
- UI/UX exposure for improving usability of financial applications
- Experience working on state or public-sector modernization initiatives
- Hybrid work model (2 days onsite per week in Columbia, SC)
