Business Development Manager
A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of growth.
This is a highly visible role working closely with ownership and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will enjoy building relationships, developing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and helping create a more scalable and structured sales process.
This is not a large corporate sales management position. It is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, solving problems, developing business, and making a meaningful impact on a growing organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Development
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing customers
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue within current accounts
- Maintain regular communication with key decision makers
- Support customer retention through responsiveness and problem-solving
New Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Develop and execute targeted prospecting strategies
- Conduct customer visits, networking activities, and business development meetings
- Qualify opportunities and manage the sales pipeline
Sales Process & Pipeline Management
- Maintain visibility into opportunities, quotes, and follow-up activity
- Improve pipeline management and sales accountability
- Collaborate with leadership to establish growth priorities and sales metrics
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations and leadership teams to ensure customer expectations align with company capabilities
- Support communication between customers and internal stakeholders
- Participate in pricing discussions and opportunity evaluation
- 5+ years of experience in business development, account management, sales, or commercial leadership
- Experience working with manufacturing, industrial, fabrication, distribution, or related customers preferred
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Proven ability to develop new business while growing existing accounts
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Experience utilizing CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Direct interaction with ownership and company leadership
- Ability to make a visible impact on company growth
