We are in search of one top-level executive in our corporation and are seeking to assign this unique and rare position in our stable, medium-sized company for a career-long opportunity in an AI-insulated, big-ticket, largely retail environment, operating within legacy US industry's spaces where widespread opportunity exists for the cultivation of new and high capture/penetration in the existing market. The position is transitional, and rapid-paced for advancement commensurate with ability. Initial onboarding, as the Director of Operations, Sales and Finance, with additional fractional CFO and COO responsibilities that over time moves into the position of our number two officer; now 52 years with the company, and in about 5 years' time will be in the mode for a gracious exit. The role is suited to early-career candidates who come along with an intrinsic and intimate familiarity of their long-time and on-the-ground experience in Massachusetts culture, its marketplace, and/or that possibly in the nearby border areas of the other New England states.

Required Qualifications;

  • MBA or similar degree from an accredited program
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • First-class social media skills with superior social media presence and reputation.
  • Good/superior marketing knowledge/abilities, with understanding of consumer awareness/trends
  • Strong fluency in financial analysis – P&L, balance sheet, business ratios, and basic FP&A
  • Comfortable managing people and resolving conflict with both colleagues and customers
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Genuine interest in building a long-term career at the company

Primary Responsibilities;

  • Oversee the POS system, produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • POS management and maintenance and ongoing improvements (possibly learn its code)
  • Manage the Sales Team across Massachusetts locations – coaching, scheduling, and performance
  • Help guide the marketing direction with attention to consumer trends and competitive awareness
  • Analyze financial performance and translate into actionable recommendations for the Board
  • Rep. the company in local community events, trade network and MA business organizations
  • H.R. functions: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefit administration
  • Work alongside the existing AR/AP team to ensure clean, timely accounting operations
  • Support budgeting, vendor terms negotiation, and inventory financial planning
  • Partner with service division on cross-functional initiatives
  • E-commerce development and management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or graduate coursework or concentration in Accounting, Finance, Operations, Data Analytics or Marketing. Knowledge or skills in coding
  • Experience managing business social media channels or e-commerce platforms
  • Existing connections in the MA business community and local trade networks.
  • Prior work experience in retail, distribution, or small business operations
  • Philanthropic club memberships, organized in-person volunteerism
  • Familiarity in corporate health insurance management

Compensation for this role commensurate with experience, ranges from $120,000 – $135,000 annually, plus bonuses.
