Join a studio where your contributions shape our future and your voice matters.The OpportunityWe are seeking a full-time Marketing Lead to work as part of a national marketing team but primarily support our Kansas City and Lawrence studios. This position will sit in our Kansas City office, a dynamic 50-person+ studio working on architecture, interior design, and city design projects throughout the Midwest region and beyond. This position will be responsible for the writing and production of proposals and other marketing materials, as well as the collection, organization, and maintenance of related project, client, and pursuit information. The ideal candidate will lead strategy sessions with principals and project teams to develop themes, narrative content, and production logistics for proposals and qualification packages. Other responsibilities include developing print and digital collateral, coordinating information needs with consultants, supporting interview preparation, when needed assisting the communications team with professional photography and awards submissions, and helping maintain business development tracking tools, including CRM data, pursuit updates, relationship information, and related analytics. Marketing collateral development and updates will include project sheets, staff resumes, firm profiles, brochures, presentations, and other materials that support positioning and pursuit strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate who seeks a position with growth potential in the design field. Qualified applicants must have 8+ years of experience in related deadline-driven positions that require excellent writing skills.
What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in AEC industry
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism, communications, liberal arts
- InDesign proficiency; your skills should be confident, creative, and quick
- Strong technical writing and editing skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work with architectural staff to collect essential project details and stories
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- An eye for editorial detail and graphic consistency across materials; an interest in design and design issues
- Confident and respectful communication skills; happy to work with various people and personalities; a friendly, collaborative demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Adeptness in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with OpenAsset, Deltek Vantagepoint, CRM data entry, and pursuit tracking
- Creative and efficient graphic design skills
- Experience with Business Development coordination, tracking, and research a plus
