Settlement Accounting / Bookkeeper Brooklyn, NY $55,000 - $75,000 Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Settlement Accounting / Bookkeeper to support settlement and post-closing accounting functions within a title company environment. This role is ideal for someone who is strong with numbers, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: Handle post-closing escrows, disbursements, and remittances Assist in preparing and reviewing settlement statements Perform daily and monthly reconciliations Track, research, and resolve discrepancies promptly Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth and timely settlements Ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry regulations Qualifications: 1 year of bookkeeping, settlement, escrow, or accounting experience Prior title company experience strongly preferred Strong numerical skills and attention to detail Highly organized, efficient, and dependable Calm, focused, and professional in a fast-paced environment
