This opportunity allows you to work within a regionally integrated oncology network that includes various locations in Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, and Ontario, along with telemedicine options across the area. Our practice is fully certified by QOPI and accredited by CoC, providing enriching opportunities, including participation in over 100 clinical trials. The program boasts exceptional surgical expertise, featuring the only fellowship-trained Surgical Oncologist in the state, alongside other highly specialized medical professionals to support our expanding services.
Support: Our comprehensive cancer centers encompass medical, radiation, and surgical oncology, offering a supportive integrative care team that includes nurse navigators, social workers, genetic counselors, spiritual advisors, and nutritionists. We also have a dedicated 10-bed inpatient unit at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
Weekly tumor boards facilitate collaboration with our fellowship-trained surgeons specializing in breast, plastic/reconstructive, GYN oncology, colorectal, neurosurgery, thoracic, and esophageal fields. Innovative initiatives include lung cancer screenings, a lung nodule clinic, neuro-oncology services, a high-risk breast clinic, and a robust array of clinical trials. This position can be either full-time or part-time, with flexibility based on organizational needs and candidate preferences. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, requiring a minimum of 32 patient contact hours weekly, with the option for a 4-day work week. Weekend and evening on-call duties are shared equitably at a ratio of 1:6. The inpatient unit is managed by a dedicated team of Oncology Hospitalists and Advanced Practice Providers, with limited consultative responsibilities for outpatient oncologists.
