Nurse Manager - Medicine 1

The role provides the chance to work alongside a collaborative leadership team dedicated to excellence, patient safety, and employee engagement, while driving high-quality patient outcomes across a diverse clinical population. In addition, this position presents a unique opportunity to expand the inpatient Oncology service line and strengthen collaboration with the outpatient Oncology team at Zimmer Cancer Institute, enhancing continuity of care across the patient journey.

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Graduate Degree preferred.
• Experience: Two years demonstrated leadership experience, preferred. Three years clinical RN experience in an acute care setting, preferred.
• Licensure/certification/registration:Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Board certification in area of practice, preferred.

• Provide operational and clinical leadership for the Medicine 1 nursing team.
• Ensure safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, productivity, quality, patient experience, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Coach and develop frontline leaders and staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and operational performance.
• Manage departmental budgets, quality metrics, and strategic initiatives.

• Managing high patient throughput and varying acuity.
