Our organization has multiple facilities, including:
- Mainland Campus - Pomona, NJ
- City Campus - Atlantic City, NJ
- Outpatient Practice:
- Pulmonology Office - Pomona, NJ (across from Mainland Hospital)
- Health Park - Egg Harbor Township, NJ
We are looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician to become part of our expanding and collaborative team. This role provides a well-rounded combination of inpatient pulmonary care, ICU responsibilities, and outpatient services across two hospital campuses and a state-of-the-art outpatient facility.
Our physicians enjoy robust support from Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), a collegial atmosphere, and opportunities to engage in educational activities as we broaden our academic presence.
Key advantages include:
- Convenient travel between campuses (approximately 12-15 miles)
- Outpatient location easily accessible in South Jersey
The position features a balanced mix of inpatient, ICU, and outpatient duties, structured as follows:
- 5 days of inpatient care (at either Mainland or City campus)
- 5 days of outpatient practice
- One ICU block from Friday to Monday per rotation
- Night call taken from home, with no overnight in-house ICU call required
Our support system includes:
- 24/7 in-house ICU coverage provided by intensivists and APPs
- Dedicated APP support at each campus
- A collaborative, team-oriented care model
As a Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician, your duties will include:
- Providing inpatient pulmonary and critical care consultations
- Managing patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) alongside the intensivist team
- Delivering outpatient pulmonary care in Egg Harbor Township
- Collaborating with and supervising APPs
- Participating in educational opportunities with residents and medical students
The workload is approximately evenly split between inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with the following call structure:
- Primarily home-based call
- Weekend duties include:
- MICU coverage on Saturday and Sunday
- Consult coverage across both campuses
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork abilities
