Physician - Primary Care
Job Description
Our organization is currently looking for a full-time, Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our team in Farmington, Maine. This position is part of the Primary Care Family Medicine department at Franklin Hospital.
The ideal candidate will become a member of our vibrant team, which includes two physicians and three Advanced Practice Providers (APP), supported by an exceptional staff. Our Primary Care services encompass:
- Physical examinations
- Women's health assessments
- Sick visits
- Well-child visits
- School and sports physicals
- Management of chronic health issues
We provide on-site blood work and lab services, with inpatient care managed at Franklin Hospital. The call schedule is 1:6, and there may be occasional nursing home rounds. This role also includes opportunities for teaching nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and medical students from the University of New England's UNECOM program and Tufts University Medical School.
Qualifications- MD/DO from an accredited medical institution
- Completion of a Family/Internal Medicine Residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family/Internal Medicine
- Experience in Family/Internal Medicine is preferred but not mandatory
- A four-day work week
