ACADEMIC PEDIATRIC UROLOGY SURGEON - Assistant/Associate Professor
Job Description
Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Urology Surgeon to join our team in a full-time faculty role at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, contingent upon experience and academic credentials. This position offers eligibility for both tenure and non-tenure tracks.
Key Responsibilities:- Report directly to the Chair of Urology, Dr. Bradley Schwartz.
- Contribute to the growth and enhancement of our academic Urology program in Illinois.
- Obtain privileges at Springfield Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. John's Hospital.
- Maintain an active medical practice while teaching students and residents.
- Engage in clinical and/or basic science research.

Qualifications and Skills Required:- Board-eligible or board-certified in the U.S.
- Eligibility for an Illinois medical license.
- Successful completion of a Urology residency and a Pediatric Urology fellowship.
- Awareness of the needs of underrepresented minority populations.

The anticipated annual salary range for this role is between $250,000 and $275,000, representing the academic base salary funded by the University. The final salary will be determined based on market data, internal equity, candidate qualifications, and budget considerations.
Additional clinical compensation will be provided through a member practice agreement. Please note that this is a security-sensitive position, and pre-employment background screenings are mandatory.
