Job Description:
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
As a key member of the Finance team, this position is responsible for the management and execution of all aspects of U.S. tax, including income tax provision, compliance, and supporting tax planning initiatives, within a company operating as part of a multi-national group of entities, with exposure to cross-border considerations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the quarterly and annual U.S. income tax provision process, including audit support
• Oversee federal, state, and local income tax compliance, including extensions, estimated payments, and the review of returns
• Oversee all non-income tax filings, including sales/use tax and gross receipts taxes
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors, ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Monitor and assess multi-state tax matters, including nexus and state tax exposure
• Manage state registrations in conjunction with the legal group
• Support and manage U.S. tax audits and regulatory inquiries
• Participate in tax planning, corporate structuring, and U.S. acquisition initiatives
• Assist with transfer pricing and other cross-border tax matters
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls
• Provide guidance, training, and review of work performed by other tax team members, as applicable.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• CPA designation or equivalent professional certification
• Minimum 3-5+ years of progressive U.S. corporate tax experience
• Experience with both tax provision and compliance in a complex, multi-entity environment
• Exposure to U.S. federal, state, and local tax frameworks, including nexus considerations
• Experience working with external tax advisors and auditors
• Prior experience leading or supervising staff in a professional environment
