Job Summary:

We are seeking motivated, relationship-driven Business Development professionals to drive revenue growth by identifying and nurturing relationships with potential clients, partners, and referral sources in the 1031 Exchange space. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of real estate, tax-deferred exchanges, and investment strategies, combined with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. This position is ideal for hungry, self-starters with a strong network and consultative sales approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Proactively identify and engage with real estate brokers, financial advisors, CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals, as well as real estate investors, to generate new business opportunities for 1031 Exchange transactions.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with referral partners and clients to ensure ongoing business growth.
  • Growth Strategy: Create and implement effective business growth strategies to meet and exceed individual and team growth targets.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes related to 1031 Exchanges to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Education & Outreach: Deliver presentations and training sessions to educate referral partners about 1031 Exchange benefits and processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations and marketing, to ensure seamless client experiences from initial contact through transaction completion.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline development, and client interactions in the company's CRM system. Provide regular updates and reports to management.
  • Additional tasks or responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, real estate, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, or account management, preferably in real estate, financial services, legal services, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of 1031 Exchange processes and regulations is desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed business growth targets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: Real estate license or financial certifications (e.g., Series 7, Series 63), legal background, or Certified Exchange Specialist designations are a plus.
