Position Overview

We are currently seeking seven (7) full-time General Otolaryngologists at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to become part of our dynamic team within the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery. Each role will primarily serve at one of the following locations: Lagrange, Decatur, EAC, EHH, ESJH, EJCH, or Spivey Station.

The successful candidates will hold appointments as either Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, contingent upon their qualifications. Our dedicated team is actively engaged in academic, research, and professional activities on both national and international stages. This role offers opportunities to educate medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as to engage in scholarly pursuits. Responsibilities will encompass:

  • Providing patient care
  • Teaching residents and fellows
  • Contributing to academic productivity

Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible and will receive a university appointment. The position includes a clinical role within the Department of Otolaryngology, aligned with the candidate's credentials and experience, alongside an academic appointment in the School of Medicine. A competitive 12-month salary and excellent benefits package will be provided.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
  • Completion of an Otolaryngology fellowship
  • A strong history of research and publications, experience in clinical and research mentorship, a recognized national reputation within the otolaryngology field, and a desire to lead the development of a clinical dysphagia program
  • Eligibility for a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in Georgia
  • A valid Controlled Substance Registration from the Drug Enforcement Administration
