Exciting OB/GYN Position in Waterbury, Connecticut

We are looking for a Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) OB/GYN physician to become a part of our dynamic practice in Waterbury, CT. Our team consists of four physicians and one midwife, with weekend coverage provided by local partners. This practice is bustling, allowing a new OB/GYN to begin with a full patient roster, ensuring a well-rounded experience in both obstetrics and gynecology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver medical care related to pregnancy and women's reproductive health.
  • Conduct patient examinations and gather medical histories.
  • Screen for breast, cervical, and ovarian cancers.
  • Assist in delivering babies through vaginal birth or cesarean section.
  • Address urinary tract and pelvic disorders, hormonal issues, and sexually transmitted infections.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Develop treatment plans and refer patients to specialists and hospital programs as needed.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and comprehensive patient documentation.
  • Work with Practice Management to ensure compliance with billing and coding standards.
  • Encourage wellness and health education among patients.
  • Robotic surgery training is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Participate in on-call duties with fellow OB/GYN providers.
  • Oversee Medical Assistants (MAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), and other clinical staff at the facility.
