About the Division of Cardiology

The Division is an integral part of the CardioVascular Center, which aligns strategically and financially across Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, and Vascular Surgery. Key highlights include:

  • Robust interdisciplinary programs focusing on cardiac arrhythmias, structural heart disease, valvular disease, and ischemic heart disease.
  • Conducting approximately 1,000 cardiac surgeries annually.
  • Hosting one of the largest heart transplant programs in the nation, with a record 70 heart transplants performed in 2024, the highest in New England.
  • Training future cardiologists through an ACGME-accredited fellowship program.
Your Role in Transforming Patient Care

As part of our exceptional team of cardiologists and imaging specialists, you will:

  • Engage with complex in-patients and a diverse range of out-patients.
  • Provide care for both out-patient and in-patient clinical services.
Who You Are
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Strong interest in general clinical cardiology and delivering high-quality care to out-patients.
  • Level II or III training in echocardiography, with current or anticipated Board Certification in Echocardiography.
  • Extensive experience with transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and advanced techniques such as strain and 3D echocardiography.
  • A keen interest in academic pursuits, with ample opportunities for teaching and research.
Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $331,997.00 to $401,935.00 annually. The final compensation will be determined during the selection process and will consider various factors, including relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank. Location

This position is based at our medical center, the primary teaching hospital for a prestigious medical school, located in downtown Boston.
