School Psychologist - Edison, NJ
Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact supporting students in grades 6-8 as a School Psychologist in a dynamic school environment near Edison, NJ. This contract opportunity runs from September 1 through December 23, 2026, offering the chance to work collaboratively with staff and families to help students thrive.
In this role, you will manage a caseload of approximately 40 students, working closely with educational teams to ensure each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is implemented effectively. Your expertise will help guide team meetings, facilitate communication between staff and families, and conduct evaluations as necessary to support student success.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience with middle school populations is highly desirable
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong skills in conducting psychological assessments and evaluations
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the IEP process and ensure accommodations are in place
- Participate in and lead meetings with staff and families
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students as needed
- Offer insights and recommendations to support student learning and well-being
- Serve as a resource for staff concerning behavioral and educational interventions
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with regulations
This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, with no evenings or weekends, offering excellent work-life balance.
