Job Overview and QualificationsPosition Summary:The Clinical Applications Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing continuous training, support, and enhancement of the Advanced Clinicals and Meaningful Use initiatives, along with additional assistance for clinical applications within the facility. This role involves active participation in the organization-wide community for Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), collaborating with peers to ensure robust support for advanced clinical applications throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate the implementation and support of standardized practices, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to CPOE and other clinical applications.
- Develop, implement, and support an educational plan, tools, and resources focused on the CPOE clinical initiative, Meaningful Use, and other clinical applications as they are developed.
- Lead projects and facilitate the implementation of CPOE and advanced clinical system functions.
- Address complex issues and requests escalated from the division Service Desk or other service resources.
- Review, approve, and build Evidence-Based Order sets within the facility.
- Continuously monitor advanced clinical usage trend reports, identify gaps or opportunities, and create action plans to address concerns.
- Strong understanding of Meditech.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory guidelines, including Joint Commission, MQSA, HIPAA, and ACR.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across diverse personality types.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with clinical and IT personnel.

- Familiarity with the facility’s clinical and operational processes, challenges, and Meditech environment.
- Capability to delegate tasks and engage team members effectively.
- Current Texas RN License (Registered Nurse).
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- No travel required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
- Preferred:
- Proficiency in Meditech.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in customer service orientation and/or training.
