Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Working alongside medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN acts as a patient advocate to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Carry out procedures or tasks as directed by the medical provider.
  • Accurately document care provided in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Stay informed about medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training must be completed within 90 days of starting employment.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
