Low Voltage Technician -- Voice, Video & Data

Location: Brooklyn, NY (11218) — Travel throughout NYC five boroughs and surrounding areas

Brooklyn-based telecom company seeking a skilled technician to join our growing installation team. We specialize in low-voltage voice, video, and data systems for commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling for voice, video, and data systems
• Install and configure camera systems, access control devices (lock pads, keypads), and related hardware
• Program and troubleshoot cameras, recorders, and networked devices
• Test systems to ensure proper operation and document installation details
• Travel to customer sites across the five boroughs and nearby areas as required
• Maintain professional customer interactions and provide basic user training

Qualifications:

• Prior experience installing low-voltage systems (voice, video, data, cameras, access control) preferred
• Hands-on experience programming and configuring camera systems and recorders
• Familiarity with cable termination, testing tools, and basic networking concepts
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel across NYC
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication/customer service skills
• Ability to lift and handle equipment and work in varied environments
