Location: Grafton High School
Salary: $3,360 Stipend Per Taylor County Board of Education extra-curricular assignment schedule
Current Qualifications:
- Valid WV Teaching Certificate
- Working knowledge of managing theater operations or similar environments
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge and clear understanding of audio and video equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge and clear understanding of professional standards of stage safety

Position Overview:
The Theater Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the theater, ensuring a seamless experience for both patrons and presenters. This role involves managing schedules for theater usage, preparing the venue for various events, and handling all audio and video requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar for theater usage. Coordinate with event organizers to ensure availability and avoid scheduling conflicts. Allocate time slots for rehearsals, performances, and maintenance activities.
- Event Preparation: Collaborate with presenters to understand their specific needs and requirements. Ensure all necessary equipment and materials are prepared and available for events. Arrange seating and other logistical elements according to the nature of the event.
- Audio and Video Setup: Set up and operate audio and video equipment for performances and presentations. Perform sound checks and video tests prior to events to ensure quality and functionality. Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during events to minimize disruptions.
- Team Leadership: Foster a positive and professional work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence. If needed, assign tasks and responsibilities to staff members to ensure efficient event execution.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patrons, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Gather feedback from attendees and presenters to continuously improve the theater experience. Maintain a welcoming and safe environment for all guests.
- Budget and Resource Management: Procure and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment. Seek opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality. Perform other duties as assigned
Demands:
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event timings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb on a ladder, squat, stoop, and kneel. The employee will be required to lift to fifty pounds.
